Photo Shoots
A photo shoot can take anywhere from 30 minutes up to 2 hours, depending on the amount of people and the kind of shoot. One hour is usually the tolerance level of kiddies, so for family shoots we generally aim for that. In an hour, there can be 2-3 clothing changes and quite a few different and exciting set ups.
Newborn shoots can take between 1 and 2 hours, as little baby may need to feed, have nappy changes and a cuddle here and there. We don't want to rush our precious bundle so patience is vital. It's best to photograph newborns in the first week of their lives, as they are very sleepy and perfect for posing. After 2 weeks, baby seems to really wake up and those little hands and feet are on the move. Please call to book your newborn shoot as soon as your little angel makes his/her appearance in the world.
The half-hour shoots would be just enough time for one person, maybe two with no outfit changes. We use these sessions mainly for the specials like Mothers Day/Fathers Day, to capture a limited amount of memorable shots with child and Mom/Dad. These time slots are also useful when taking a few photos for a card, for instance a family Christmas Card to send to relatives.
Editing
I do include basic digital photo retouching like the removal of pimples, stretch marks etc. You will also get some black-and-white prints, as well as sepia. Some fun creative techniques can also add a funky element to your photographs, depending on your preferences. Post-production ensures a high quality result to your photo shoot. Please let me know any special requests, likes and dislikes.
